GCWC meetings are every other month on the 2nd Tuesday. Meetings are
generally held at Panera Bread West Ashley at 7PM
Upcoming meeting dates in 2017 will be:

Our secretary will send all
members a meeting notice by email.

Our meetings generally last 1-1 1/2 hours and are specifically utilized
to plan and organize upcoming events, deal with problems, find fund producers,
and help with rescue. We also have a Wins & Brags session at the end -
each member who wishes to brag on his/her dog must pay at least 50 cents to the
Rescue Fund. Bigger brags generally pay in as much as $5.00!
General Calendar of Events for the Club
January - WCA Shooting dog ratings and 2 AKC Hunting Tests.
Back to
back Weimaraner Specialty shows held on Johns Island on Thursday and Friday,
followed by 2 all breed shows in Ladson (Charleston KC)
April - possibly some fund raisers for Rescue
May - booth at the "Charleston Dog Show" downtown for Rescue, breed
information
June or July - possibly a seminar about field; swimming is always fun.
August - swimming and retrieving practice on Johns Island.
September water and retrieving work continues
October - Novice Pointing Dog Field Day to introduce both dogs and owners to
quail and tell them all about AKC Hunting tests. The next day is a WCA
Retrieving Ratings.
November & December - GCWC offers Hunting Test practices at various locations during the fall and
winter to teach novice owners how to train their dogs to pass AKC Hunting Tests,
December - two AKC Hunting tests and a Christmas Game Feast
We elect officers at the December meeting.
Anyone interested in the Weimaraner is welcome to attend our meetings.
